Goal:  $40,000 by January 30, 2026

Background:

Many of you know and love our dear Stacy. Her life changed in June (2025) when she was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a nasty form of brain cancer. Stacy can no longer work. We are launching this fundraiser as a way to surround her with love and tangible support when she needs it most.

The goal of this fundraiser is to extend the reach of her savings by covering the medical insurance payments and expenses.  The estimate is $40,000. In the event the actual expenses are lower, this fundraiser will help cover bills for 2027.

Financial Controls:

Stacy has asked that donations be collected centrally.  To enable this, her financial power of attorney, Lynn Schaber, will manage collections.  Financial oversight and controls will be handled by Steve Horn, a bonded financial advisor.  For questions, Steve can be reached at stevehorn@fuse.net.

Contributions:

100% of all money donated will go directly to Stacy.  Every contribution, no matter the amount, is valuable and will make a meaningful difference in Stacy’s journey toward recovery.  The preferred method is Zelle, however, you can use personal check and Venmo.  Checks should be made out to Lynn Schaber with “Stacy Neurohr” in the memo line – please contact Lynn at LynnSchaber@GMail.com to arrange pick up.  For donations above $5000, please contact Lynn.

While the prizes for donating have been awarded, anyone can still donate at any time. Congrats to Sandra our Blantons Gold winner and Jen our Yoga membership winner.  

Tax implications:

Donations are considered a personal gift and therefore not tax deductible.  If you need additional information on this, please contact Lynn who did the research (LynnSchaber@GMail.com).  The maximum “free” personal gift is $19,000/person/year – after this, donations are taxable to the donor.
